Moving Helper – Contract Position
Position Overview:
This contract position offers 10-20 hours per week with opportunities for advancement to full employee status.
What You'll Do:
- Pack and label personal items, dishes, wardrobes, and specialty items with care
- Securely wrap furniture and oversized items to ensure safe transportation
- Load and unload items into moving trucks and residential or commercial spaces
- Provide exceptional customer service during every interaction
- Work collaboratively with moving crews to ensure efficient, safe moves
- Handle specialty items including gun safes, pianos, and appliances
- Accurately disassemble and reassemble furniture
- Maintain professional communication with customers throughout the moving process
- Ensure work areas are clean and organized during and after moves
- Assist with truck maintenance and cleaning
What We're Looking For:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma, GED, or 6+ months of experience in moving, labor, or related positions
Personal Qualities:
- Dependable and detail-oriented with a strong desire to learn
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Professional demeanor and customer service mindset
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Proficiency with mobile applications, email, and basic computer use
- Physical capability to meet job demands (see physical requirements below)
- Have a Cell Phone for communication
Compensation & Benefits:
